Registration Requirement for Paper Presentator

For the papers to be presented at the congress, authors should meet the following conditions.

Paper presenter has to become a IIPF member even PhD student (first step) and then register for the congress (second step). Both can be done on the same day, membership and registration lists will be checked regularly. Information on the membership is available here.

Please complete the congress registration by June 1, 2017.

  • All paper presentator are required to complete congress registration as either Participant or Student.

*1: PhD Student rate is applicable only to those who have PhD student status at the time of congress. PhD students are required to submit a scanned copy (in either jpeg or pdf format) of their student ID or student certificate letter from their supervisors via online registration form. Please be advised that PhD student rate will not be applied for PhD students who have full time job.

*2: Accompanying persons are limited to the participants’ family members only.

  • Any bank charges, including those of paying banks or intermediary banks, will be borne by the applicants.
  • For international bank transfer, the transaction fees of banks in both the source and destination countries might be deducted from your payment. If the amount of received payment is less than that of the registration fee, you will be asked to pay the balance on-site.
    For your information, the following paying bank's charges are required in Japan:
    Remittance charge (always required): approx. JPY 1,500
    Lifting charge (depending on your bank): approx. JPY 2,500
  • If the remittance covers more than one person, please inform us of the name of each participant.
  • Payment receipt can be downloaded through the registration user account.

Payment Confirmation

If you have paid registration fees by credit card, a payment confirmation e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address automatically.
If you pay registration fees by bank transfer, a reply e-mail with bank information will be sent to your registered e-mail address. After confirming your payment, a payment confirmation e-mail will be sent by the Registration Office.

Registration Correction

If there is anything to be changed or corrected on your registration data, please contact the Registration Office.


If you cancel your participation in the congress, please be sure to notify the Registration Office by e-mail or fax immediately. The following cancellation fee will apply, based on the date when the office receives notification of cancellation. However, if you are the author of the accepted paper listed on the congress proceedings, your registration fee will not be refunded.

Visa Information

Citizens of certain countries are required to obtain a visa to enter Japan. Plaease check the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) to know if you need to obtain a visa and visa application procedures:
The organizer will prepare the documents that should be prepared by the inviting person in Japan and send them to you by express courier.

Before you apply for assistance, you are required to take the following steps.

  1. Complete your registration with full payment of the fee
  2. Book a Flight
  3. Reserve a Hotel
